                    Griffin            The cries of my pups wake me from a fitful sleep. I am lying next to Atlas and not on top like I usually do. He grunts, and I look over to see his eyes open. “Your kids are hungry,” I say to him. We both get out of bed, and I go to the crib. Sabre is nestled between her brothers and wailing her little heart out. I gently pick her up while Atlas picks up Blade, leaving Dagger alone, who cries louder.            I sit on the couch with Sabre and let her latch while Atlas puts Blade in my other arm so he can nurse. Then Dagger is quieted when his father finally picks him up. “It’s okay, son,” Atlas coos at him.
