Cody couldn't lie. The last few days had been utter hell as far as he'd been concerned. Worried over the possibility that Cassie would reject him and not sure he would be able to face it if she did. As for being away from her and Liam, well that had made him completely miserable and very much like a sour puss as his friend Benjamin had lightly put it. The only thing that even remotely distracted him was work but Benjamin had refused to let him into the study after finding Cody had even cleaned his desk and put out that his mess had been put away. Apparently Benjamin had a "system" that Cody had stuffed up. How was he supposed to know that? It's not like Benjamin had bothered to tell him thought Cody a little annoyed at being banished from the study.
