The Lost Time Crystal

1348 Words

Unlike the time-warp Dhusskaull created in the ravine, there would be no way to control it now. Had the crystal fallen somewhere where it could tip and fall again, he wouldn’t know. He wouldn’t be able to stop it… Dread coated his shoulders now, beading his skin with sweat.  There in the dragon’s clutches, those of which opened and closed with tremendous force, Dhusskaull grew weak. His mind, hypnotized by the light and shadow reflecting off of the scales within his palm, couldn’t escape from this. His head bashed to and from left and right of where his hair was snared between the dragon’s claws. His body moved like a ragdoll and all the while he could hear the way the effect threw the dragon.  If he thought the creature was loud before, hearing him screech now was horrendously worse.
