Making my way through the trembling house, I finally reached the door that led to the courtyard. I threw it open, not bothering to look around or back as I ran. My feet flew over the grass, past the fountain, past the apple trees. Was I going the right way? Blue had only pointed in a general direction; surely there was a road somewhere? On the other side of the small orchard, there was. Not a road, more of a path, worn down by tires and horses. In the distance, I could make out the roofs of houses. The village! I sprinted, puffing and the sun beat down on me mercilessly. My feet kicked up dust, making me cough, but the thought of Finn and Declan lying helpless behind me spurred me onward. Never did I think I would miss the way Liam zipped in and out of place, but I could sure use it now!
