We’d been at Castle House for just over a fortnight. Liam was able to walk again, his gait slightly off balance due to the bandage still wrapped on his leg. His people, his rebellion, were overjoyed to see him well again. Meanwhile, I suffered every night through horrific visions brought on by my subconscious. They had never been this frequent before, except right after Papa’s death. I walked around with dark circles under my eyes from all the sleepless nights, and anxiety like a rock in my stomach, afraid to go to sleep.
