Skye’s P.O.V. The metallic hum of the garage buzzed around me as I worked, wiping the grease off my hands with a rag. It was a slow day, just me and a couple of half-finished cars, which suited me just fine. I liked the quiet rhythm of working on engines, something about it kept my mind steady, focused. At least, it used to.
