The warmth of the moment lingered between us as the conversation settled into a comfortable lull. I traced the lines of Skye’s collarbone absentmindedly, feeling the steady rise and fall of his chest. I could tell there was something still on his mind, something he wasn’t saying to me, but I didn’t push. Skye would share when he was ready to do so.
