“Are you sure, Ris? I mean, he’s an asshole!” Jane protested.
Clarissa nodded. Though she was uncertain if she had made the right decision. She had agreed to move into Max’s house in the suburbs. She had agreed to be confined in the golden cage. All because she wanted to give Max another chance. She wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. She couldn’t believe that he is a psychopath. He was sweet at some moments. They may not be getting married but he is still their baby’s biological father. At the very least, she wanted the baby to have a father.
“You’re not marrying him so I don’t see why you need to move into his mansion in some godforsaken place, some rich men’s suburbs or whatever,” Jane said.
