I was taken aback when, after hearing everything, Derek burst into laughter.
"And I hear was, living in fear all this time that if you ever found out about April and I, you'd beat me to a pulp." He snorted. April giggled along with him.
"I probably would have before all this." I admitted.
"I am sorry about everything. I can't even imagine." He gently pulled April back, squeezing her shoulders. The look he gave her said it was clear he hoped he'd never have to go through this with her.
"I can't help you prepare yet Damien. I don't know what he's going to ask you, not until tomorrow. He's supposed to give a list of everything." April said.
