It took me thirty f*****g minutes to calm down enough to be able to leave the school. Most of the teachers were still here, and I doubted I'd make it to my car without running into someone. When I finally left, I called Ella.
"Hey." She answered, totally normal.
"I'm coming over." I growled.
"You're still at school?"
"I'm leaving now."
She laughed hard.
"Go ahead. Laugh it up."
"I will." She snorted and hung up.
Rounding the corner, I drove home. Going in to feed Bubble quickly, I gave her a quick pat before storming across the road and around the back of the house, letting myself in the patio door.
