Thanks to Anna's help, I was able to release most of the kitchen staff once the ball had begun. I only kept a few on call and they were all marked people. I made a point of letting the singles have their night out, considering this was a rare occasion, having so many new faces in the castle. Perhaps some of them will find their mates tonight. That was the dream for many anyhow.
Everything went very smoothly. I did catch King Maddox and Annalise in a heated kiss in the hallway, and then watched and cheered as he hauled Anna back to his room, no doubt. It was clear what they were doing tonight. And probably tomorrow too. Hopefully, I could get some details from her once she wasn't so...occupied. And hopefully, King Maddox will take it easy on her.
