We settled into 'the new normal' as the days went by. Jose insisted Greg, Leah, and I take another couple of weeks off work to allow us time to handle the initial paperwork surrounding the death of Jake and Bernice. He also insisted that Greg was on payroll effective the day he verbally accepted the offer of employment. Truly, Graystone Security was run by people with hearts as big as all outdoors.
Our appointment with Mr. Mills had been hard emotionally. He assisted Leah with filing for the CPP death and survivor's benefit, making sure to provide proof of her being pregnant at the time of Jake's death.
