"Grandpa, I am going to have a baby," I told him as we attended this morning's meeting.
He was in for a surprise. I don't think he has worked out who I am yet in relation to today's meeting. It was amusing as he pussyfooted around the meeting, Grandpa, to later tonight instead of straight after this morning's meeting, but I won in the end.
"Your Grandma will be pleased. When are you going to tell her?" That is what I love about Grandpa. He did not dive in to find out who the father was, but he did ask when I would tell his wife because it would make her happy to hear the news.
"After this morning's meeting, Vicky, her man, and Douglas will come over to talk." I watched his expression, but he did not disappoint me. Grandpa had years to perfect the straight face.
