Douglas POV
My head was spinning with all the ideas that mum and dad were offering me. Dad said he wanted me to be more involved in his work, to put a fresh face to the public, and Mum wants me to be more engaged in her movie side. On the music side, she wants me to explore the possibility of using some of our singers or bands in movies; she was directing more and has a say in who is involved in the movie.
Do I want to get involved this deeply in their lives? I had thought Jessica and I had carved out our future together; do I want this deviation?
"Sir, do you still need us? If not, we would like to retire for the night." A lady came and interrupted our discussion; a man stood by her side.
I looked around and noticed it was late, and there was no sign of Jessica.
