I stared out over the edge of the town in wonder. I couldn't wait to explore.
“Let's go.” I squeaked in glee.
We must look strange to humans, just strolling out from the woods, luckily the street was eerily quiet, and we weren't subject to more than one or two curious gazes.
“How far is the mall from here?” I asked as we strolled down the sidewalk.
“All the way across town.” Jace squeezed my hand. I frowned. It looked like a pretty big place that could take us hours to walk that far.
