Noah, Jace and I were the first ones to make it back to the office. Noah and Jace busied themselves with some of the papers on their desk while we waited for the others. I don’t think they knew what else to do and keeping themselves busy helped. But something was bothering me and I was too distracted to join them.
What is with you? Kali’s energy was different. I couldn’t articulate what it was exactly I was sensing from her, other than to say she was acting or feeling out of character. It made me feel uncomfortable to say the least.
She did not reply, which again was unusual. But I could feel her pacing back in forth in my mind, it felt like she was struggling with something, or felt guilty about it. But what could she have done that I didn’t already know about?
