Two days later, as Brandon intended, he went up early, ready to visit the track described by Ava as hard and complicated because it was meant to pass the standards of professional racing competition.
When they arrived there, Brandon sensed that Ava and Avon were both nervous, typical for anyone to feel in front of a perceived disappointing outcome. He smirked but didn’t raise the matter with them; anyway, he couldn’t blame anyone for thinking that he had zero knowledge of sports, and car raising was among those sports.
