Brandon’s heart was crushed when Ava left without a word. It was obvious to him that she took sides, and it was not his side she had chosen. He closed his eyes. His mind had already retreated to a space so dark and he was there alone.
However, Kevin's voice made him crawl back to the present time.
“How dare you plan my death, bastard," Kevin accused him with anger in his eyes.
Brandon eyed Kevin with a look that could kill him. Hearing his irritating voice and the words full of faulty accusation, made Brandon double on controlling his temper, “I only said, I was there, moron. I have nothing to do with your accident.”
