“Oh—Finally, you went down to replenish your energy,” Brandon’s dad joshed when the couple went down for lunch. His good-natured side loved to pull a joke on his family whenever they were gathered together, and this occasion was no different.
The couple had been in their room the entire morning, which was so different from Brandon's usual itinerary whenever he was home. His dad was pleased that somehow he could put aside business and prioritize his wife.
"The Heat had been intense for Ava. They need sleep more than anything...so give them a break!” His mom scorned and defended the couple. Smiling at Ava and Brandon secretly.
“Thanks, mom!” Brandon winked at her while he pulled a chair for Ava.
