Ava woke up with a jolt.
She was covered by sweat, and her screams had been frozen in her throat. She had a bad dream, something she wouldn’t like to dream about next time. Fortunately, she didn't scream as it could have disturbed Brandon, still lying flat beside her. It might be the effect of some herbs given by Doctor Tomas, and the needle and hose attached to him, the liquid from the bag suspended in a stand was medicine injected straight into his veins. Ava knew he would heal soon...but how soon?
