“There is such selfishness behind love. You want pleasure without pain, happiness without chaos, and everything without sacrifice. If there is a love with this, I don’t know of it. Maybe it is formatted in a Nicholas Sparks book or on the screen played by whatever 20-something actress is up and coming. But the love I know is painful. There is no promise of forever or even tomorrow. There is no guarantee that they won’t hurt you. And there is no way to take back, but hopefully be able to move on. I truly believe of all things love is, it’s a gamble. You trust the other person to be faithful, to be just, to be honest...and sometimes they are. I do believe people can change though, such as those who cheat. I think if they really see the error and really love the person, they can make it work.
