Raylee's POV
"Good evening, Aunt Kelly."
She jumped up from the couch and strode towards me. Her red curls were thrown up in a messy bun, while she wore an oversized black hoodie with grey sweatpants, like she had been lazing around whole day.
"Hey Lee, what brings you by?" She smiled, pulling me into her arms.
I threw my arms around her waist, squeezing her tightly. "Just came by to check on you."
"Aww that's so sweet." She released me, smoothing out my white t-shirt as if it had somehow become rumfled by our hug. I just stared at her. Nothing was the same after Klaus left for University. Dark circles framed her eyes and a visible emptiness hid behind her smile. I could see how much she was hurting, even though she tried to hide it.
