Dafnie and I decided to enjoy the fresh air of outside. Hand in hand we travelled out until I spotted Klaus.
"You came." I smiled, not really expecting to see Klaus out since he had left him cooped up in the room.
I should have known, when you see one, you see them both. Chris was by his side and I saw him slightly stiffen up when we grew closer. Dafnie was beside me and immediately she hung her head. I could sense the fear in her form and I quickly intercepted the space between her and Chris.
To be honest, Chris didn't seem like a bad guy and I trusted Klaus' friendship choice but if it made Dafnie uncomfortable, I wasn't going to subject her to being closer to him than she needed to be.
"Where are you two off to?" Klaus turned to me and asked.
