Allison’s POV
"AHHHH!" a scream echoed from upstairs.
"Ryd-AHHHH!" I clutched my chest at the sudden sting of pain coursing through every fiber of my being. My legs gave out, a thump resounding through the house as my knees drop to the ground, unable to tend to Ryder and alleviate his source of pain.
"Something's not right!" He breathed through the excruciating pain, clutching his chest like I was, as he slowly made his way down the stairs, tightly gripping the railing for support.
I glanced up at him through tearful eyes. "What do you think is going on?"
He wearily shrugged, reaching out to help me to my feet. He led me to the couch, pulling me unto his lap to cradle me like I was the only one who needed pacifying.
