She hadn’t expected to stay up late into the night drinking hot chocolate and planning her birthday with Diana. But that was what had happened. She had never even gotten a chance to ask the woman why she had been crying, but she figured she would find out later. As the sunlight streamed through the window, Ellery actually felt tired for a change, and she let out a yawn. “Oh no!” she groaned. “I can’t be tired now. My sleep schedule will be all off.”
Diana smiled at her. “Look, it’s okay. I don’t even know when the boys will be done at their meeting. Why don’t you go up and sleep?”
