Ivar remained standing in a playful bow, his hand still outstretched, as he waited for Elene’s decision. She glanced around the crowds, but since she stood at the foot of the stairs now, she couldn’t see Forest any longer.
The Princess hesitated, instinctively checking if her mask was still attached properly to her face. “Ivar, now isn’t—”
“Just one dance,” he insisted gently, his hand still reaching out to her.
