She sat up abruptly, frantically trying to understand what was going on and spilling water everywhere.
“Elene?” He took a step forward, his boot slipping in a puddle.
One more moment and he would have hit his head on the marble. Elene’s instincts kicked in as she grasped his shirt, trying to help him, slipping on the bath’s bottom herself and dragging him on top of herself. His eyes still closed shut, they both went under water together, both desperately trying to get back to the surface… while saving each other.
“Fen—rir!” Elene gasped for air, her head finally above the water again.
Forrest sucked in air as well, finally finding his footing on all fours with something soft right under him.
