She had cheated destiny on so many occasions… She years spent at Fenrir's side after he had rescued her, and no one had been able to force her to carry out her witchly duties... Now that he had returned to Asgard, she was left on her own and was well aware of where she would end up sooner or later.
This was probably a better ending…
Only why— why did the gods send Joaquin her way? It would have been better if she hadn't met him, if she’d never known he existed, never known that somewhere out there, she had a mate who was ready to love her just for her.
