I wiped away the lone tear that trailed down my cheek as I watched Jeremy deliver an emotional eulogy for his mother. I squeezed my eyes shut tightly and felt Aishah squeeze my hands. I looked at her just in time to see her wipe her cheeks roughly.
Sure, we didn't spend a lot of time with Audrey but still, she managed to worm her way to our hearts in the little time we've spent together. It felt like I lost a family member rather than a friend's mother.
