Deke sat in the seat in front of the desk. I saw him wrinkling his nose and sniffing the air. He just rolled his eyes as he looked at me. I shrugged my shoulders. "What?"
"You always said the office was strictly for business." He snorted.
"Satisfying my mate is business."
"Right. Must be nice."
I tilted my head. "Are you and Audrey alright?"
"Yes, she just can't have s*x right now. It hurts too much."
"Sorry to hear that, buddy. So, what's up otherwise?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"I finished the investigation into Alpha Casper Reynolds for you. I spoke with his pack members. And some of them corroborate what your sister said. They weren't allowed to intervene due to alpha orders. But they did see and hear abuse."
