Three Years Later
I stood on a hill overlooking the park as my children and my nieces and nephews played in a field of daisies. Today was their third birthday and my twenty-eighth birthday. And Jemma chose to celebrate the occasion in her way. A simple party in the park with BBQ food and dancing and laughing. It didn't make my mother very happy, but she seemed to be enjoying herself.
