For the next week, much to everyone's surprise and her families dismay, Gracie spent most of her time at the safe house. Her people quickly fell in love with her hands on approach. Her family thought it was a security nightmare. Arax refused to leave her side, making her take breaks and getting plenty of snacks.
Gracie was astonished at the number of volunteers that showed up to help. With so many people to take care of there was always something to do. Sometimes she played with the children while the parents rested, sometimes she helped in the kitchen. Most of the time she sat on the fifth floor with the women.
