Gracie eyed Erick as he settled into his chair. Outwardly he seemed calm and collected. He was tense though.
"How have you been Erick? I know our last meeting was not ideal." Gracie turned to a fresh page on the notepad in case she needed to take notes.
He gazed at her as if trying to decide if she truly wanted to know or if she was just being socially polite.
"I want to apologize to you, Erick. You had your entire life mapped out for you and I walk in and change everything. For that I'm sorry. I stand by my decision but you got a raw deal out of it." Gracie didn't know what else she could say to let him know how sorry she was.
