"You're finally here." My colleague grinned as he stood up from the chair in front of the screen. He had been the guard running the last shift, but in honor of my request, I had been allowed to oversee the last act of the night.
Leah and Troy.
I had expected this day would come. I had a strong hunch I'd see them again based on how things ended last week, but still, the call this morning came as a surprise.
This was the third scheduled meeting between these two, and I think I was probably more excited about it than they were. I might have been a lot earlier if it hadn't been for that damn accident on the road that kept me back.
I flopped down in the chair, exhausted, yet relieved that I hadn't missed anything as I immediately enlarged the panel to the bottom right of the screen to where Troy sat in the room, alone.
"He's been waiting there for some time." My colleague sighed as he paused on writing his end of shift entry to look at the screen.
Troy was sitting on the edge of the bed, his eyes idly scanning the room as he waited.
"Really?" I glanced over at him, frowning slightly.
"Yup, but he doesn't seem deterred by her tardiness. All he's been doing is sitting there and checking his watch ever so often... see!" He pointed to the screen and I turned back just in time to see Troy looking down at his watch. He shook his head and sighed, wearing his disappointment on his sleeve.
"You think he's being stood up?" My colleague queried, looking at the mature man as he glanced at his watch again.
I thought about his question.
Though Troy wasn't as young or bulked as some of the other sought-after guys he was still a man who most would consider handsome. He exuded confidence, yet was never overly cocky. His smile had been enough to place many of his past clients at ease, a feature which made him look both kind and friendly.
Leah, on the other hand, was young, just eighteen, fresh out of high school. She was an innocent, practically naïve girl when she first came to lose her virginity and by some good fortune, she had scored lucky when she was paired with Troy.
They were so different in age, expertise, and experience and yet somehow it seemed like they just made it work. They somehow made sense.
Troy had taken such good care of her, and given the fact that this was their third scheduled meeting, it meant that Leah ticked 'yes' again, and Troy agreed. They clearly had chemistry and she was much too excited after their session last week to miss this one.
I shook my head as I glanced from the screen to my colleague. “I highly doubt she'll miss tonight's session. She must just be running late.” Of that, I felt confident.
I've seen the way she looked at him and from his worried, downcast countenance she obviously wasn’t the only one who felt something.
However, normally it would have been Leah who sat and waited, but tonight the roles were reversed. Troy waited, and Leah was late.
"I hope you're right and she shows." My colleague commented as he added the final dot to the end of his entry. "Because he looks seconds away from calling us, probably to inquire whether or not there had been a cancellation."
As if my colleague knew just what he was saying, Troy dialed a number and placed his cell to his ear.
The office phone rang.
"Hope it all works out." My colleague mouthed as he grabbed the last of his things and headed out. "All the best."
I nodded then turned back to the ringing device. I hesitated to answer for a moment, gathering my thoughts before I cleared my throat and picked up.
"Is the session scheduled for Troy and Leah still on for tonight?" His voice was calm, but judging by his uncharacteristic lip bite over the screen, he was anxious.
I minimized the full screen and switched to the cameras in the main lobby. The entrance door suddenly swung open and a disheveled Leah rushed to the front desk to sign in.
I smiled as I flicked back to the room view, excited to put his worried mind at ease. "She's here."
I kept it simple, though I was dying to add 'Of course she'd come, the girl's got it bad for you. Believe me.'
Just then, the room door opened and with a broad grin, Troy nodded "Thanks" before the phone clicked out.
Leah all but ran in, panting like she’d run a marathon. She had a handbag with her, which she dropped by the door as she grinned, out of breath. “I’m so sorry. Internship training ran a little later than expected and then there was this three-way collision on route which caused terrible traffic. Gosh, I was worried you would have been gone by now."
Troy stood up slowly, unable to hide his smile. “I was worried you might have stood me up.”
"Never." Leah laughed as she shucked out of her coat, revealing her business attire beneath. “I’ve been thinking about tonight all week.”
Troy walked over to her, his eyes scanning her thoroughly. “Did you run here?”
Leah exhaled slowly, trying to get her breath under control. “Yeah.” She gave a shy smile as she looked away from his intense gaze, but it was that gaze that told me more than words could tell.
He hooked his index finger under her chin refocusing her attention on him, then with eyes locking on each other, he leaned in, his lips ghosting over hers. “I’ve been thinking about tonight all week as well.”
Leah's eyes fluttered shut as she smiled sweetly before sealing their lips together. Her hands slid up his chest, settling on either side of his face as she deepened the kiss, and it seemed as though Troy happily allowed her to take the lead. When Leah finally pulled away, she licked her lips; her eyes appearing darker. “So I was thinking I’d be in charge this time.”
Troy quirked an eyebrow as he fought a smile. “Is that so?”
Leah nodded. “I think we should see if I’ve learned anything from our last two sessions.”
Troy paused a moment. “Have you practiced with anyone else?”
Leah shook her head. “Only with you, the fantasies in my head and a few online technique tips.” Then she smiled slowly, cautiously. “Would you have been jealous?”
Troy tried to laugh it off, but the tick of his jaw and the uncertainty in his eyes was quite a telling answer. “Just wondering, that’s all.”
“Have you been with anyone else this week?” Leah countered, daring to be brave. She tilted her head a little and met Troy’s stare without backing down.
“No.”
Leah smiled again, broader this time. “Good, then I might have to make you c*m as many times as I can to make up for it.”
Fu*k, I was so ready for these two to begin.
