Mason POV
“Alpha,” Benedict enters my office without knocking. “Erica is back.”
I groan inwardly, briefly closing my eyes. How many people are going to report Erica’s return? I know, dammit - leave me alone.
“Yes, Benedict,” I exhale deeply, pulling the document I was working on closer. “I saw her in Los Angeles. And she avoided me – again. So, there’s nothing to it.”
“No,” Benedict shakes his head. “You don’t understand. She’s here.”
“Probable to see her parents,” I scoff irritated, rereading the paragraph.
“Mason,” Benedict says urgently. “She’s at reception, requesting to see you.”
“She’s here?” I look up. This has my attention, and I put the document aside. My surprise lasts only for a second before anger consumes me.
