Mason POV
“Is everyone in place?” I ask as Benedict and I drive to the park.
“Yes, Alpha,” he replies. “Just like they were when you asked ten minutes ago,”
“I’m sorry,” I sigh. “I haven’t slept at all last night.”
“Which is understandable,” Benedict says sympathetically as he parks. “The Gamma team will not disappoint. Once they withdraw the money, we will catch them.”
I do not reply. I know we will capture these fuckers; my concern is if Carina will be unharmed. She has been at their mercy for nearly twenty-four hours and my mind went dark last night about everything they can do to her.
Another thing which is bugging me is the amount they asked for. Surely, they must know I am worth more. Why risk your life for ten million if you can get fifty or a hundred?
