Anon had yet to see someone in heat. In all his years of living, he had not participated in any activity involving claiming. But—he had heard stories about it. He had visions of it.
This heat season among werewolves affected the body and mind of female wolves as the bodies heated up for carnal cravings and it made them more submissive, more lustful, and ready for intense carnal exploration.
This heat would happen on every unmarked female wolf with no definite date or time. Ada was unmarked, even though she was claimed by him—she remained unmarked and prone to all the kinds of changes female wolves underwent during the season.
Anon looked at Ada with pity in his eyes
