It felt weird walking to the banquet hall because I didn't have a date yet once again. Initially, I had planned to come with Anthony but since he is out of town, I have no choice but to come alone without any escort. The banquet hall was closed, two guys were stationed outside the door.
" Your name..." One guy asked me.
" Lauren Roberts," I said to him. He looked at the list and gave the other guy a nod. They opened the doors and it was like I was transferred into another universe.
The room was filled with laughter and chatter, everyone having fun behind their masks. I went to my table, Owen was there with his wife, and the other partners were also there with their significant others.
