Claudia's POV:
I slowly sat up on my bed. The entire cabin was dark. I reached over to turn the lamp on that was on the end table next to the bed but it wouldn't turn on. I grabbed my phone to wake it up to use the flashlight to help me see but the phone was completely dead. Before I went to bed, I was certain my phone had more than enough battery to last another day. The fact that it was dead didn't make any sense to me. I felt for the charger and plugged it in, but even then it didn't light up to tell me that it was charging. It was as if there was no power at all going to the phone.
I looked around the room, thinking something didn't seem right. I pulled the comforter off of my body and quietly got up from the bed. My floor-length gown lightly touched the wood floor as I softly walked
