She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Alpha Marick was trying to stop them from leaving. He’d shot himself in front of their car and held his hands out in a stop gesture, and verbalised the words “Wait.”
She’d seen him look in the car at those that were in it with her, Lauchlan, Caleb and Marshell. Then he’d walked past it, and she’d frowned. He wasn’t looking to talk with Lauchlan or herself, and she heard Caleb mutter “You gotta be joking right.”
“What’s going on?” Tyler asked as she turned to see where he was going, who he was looking for. Clearly it wasn’t one of them.
She watched him stop at the car behind her and frowned. “Does he want to apologise?” she huffed. “It’s too bloody late for that.”
