He was home from his family dinner all of 20 minutes, when an all-alert was shot down the mind-link from his father that there was a mass rogue attack on the North Western boarder. He and his unit were gone, as were all the pack’s warriors, to defend the pack. He saw she-wolves and children heading for the packhouse, where his mother was waiting to lock it down and keep them all safe.
He and his unit were quick to arrive at the boarder, and they understood right away that what they were seeing were wolves, not from the Human Realm, but the Wolfen Realm. He could tell by the way they fought, defectors from the military, or a disbanded pack or the remnants of an overtaken pack, and they'd been banished from it. It was all in the way they moved.
