On any normal given night for a mating ball, he would walk into the ballroom with Tyler on his arm, to show them as not only a mated pair, but as the future Alpha and Luna. But not tonight. She was very mad; to ignore pack formalities, she’d gone down ahead of him expecting him to side with his mother on this matter.
Which, unfortunately, he was going to do, have to do, because having his Mate and the future Luna live within another pack for two days a week, which he was certain would sometimes be stretched to three days, it was unheard of.
It would also likely appear to their allied packs that they weren’t happy, and it would appear that Tyler wanted to be away from him, likely giving the impression she didn’t want to be his Mate and Luna at all. Not something that was true,
