“Jake?” she rasps. I see her face is red like she’s been crying, and I feel my chest tighten and my mind goes to the worst-case scenario.
“Mora? Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” I ask. I want to search her body over. I suspect she’s pretty close to naked under these blankets. Knowing she could be hurt though, I’m not the least bit turned on by her nakedness.
“Who? Asher?” she asks confused and I nod.
“No, he didn’t hurt me. Wait where’s Sierra?” she asks.
“Sierra? I don’t know? With her mate?” I shrug.
“Mate? The man that threatened to kill you and Ellie?” she asks, arching a brow.
