“Don’t you dare leave me!”
I feel tears gather in my eyes at the gut wrenching sight of my mates. I want to fight for them. Fight for our future together…but I’m too tired to move. Everything hurts. I’ve failed them. I’ve failed everyone.
I feel someone gently pull my chin, turning my head the other direction. It’s Samantha. “You’re here.” I mumble in disbelief.
I’m not sure if I’m hallucinating or if this is really the ghost of my dead friend. Oh well, not like my life isn’t f*****g weird enough. Samantha gives a small smile. “Yeah. We always have each other’s backs remember?” Her eyes flicker behind me to Eric and Gabriel. “I’ve never known you to be a quitter, E.” Her gaze returns back to my face. “You have so much more to live for now.”
“I know.” I reply in a tired whisp
