I never went back to sleep this morning after the nightmare with Samantha. Eric and Gabriel tried to get me to talk but I gave them the run around, avoiding the subject. Eventually they gave up once they were certain I was alright and we all laid back down to sleep, which I faked. The whole not breathing thing makes pretending to be asleep easy…but it also let my mind wonder back to the nightmare.
Samantha’s soul was really there with me and the surprised look on Merrick’s face was enough to confirm that he was caught off guard by it. I’ve never heard of a soul entering someone’s dreams. Some souls will remain in this world in the form of ghosts if they have unfinished business. Perhaps if I take down Merrick, Samantha’s spirit will be free to move on? Getting revenge on the son
