I finish applying the red matte lipstick to my lips, giving them a smack while staring at my reflection in the mirror. I release a heavy sigh before capping the lipstick and placing it back on the bathroom counter. Am I really doing this? Am I really going on a date with Eric? I’ve never dated someone that I work with before, let alone a vampire. Will it be awkward?
I smile, thinking about last night after I had returned the stolen truck to the museum and delivered LaCroix’s dagger.
