We found a codex. One that didn’t belong with the other books. But why?
I knew there had to be a mistake. Never have I heard of another codex.
“Maybe it’s a mistake?” Jason said as I slid my finger down the cover. It was old and ruined. It seems it’s been here for decades.
I turn it over and check the book out. It was the exact copy of the one I was using. Turning it back, I looked at both men. Then, taking a deep breath, I opened the book. Old dusty and yellow pages slid down my fingers.
There was something on the first page, but strangely I couldn’t understand.
“What language is that?” Jason asked. I frowned, thinking if I could recognize anything. But sadly, nothing came to mind.
Turning the other page, I see it’s empty. I turned all the other pages, and it was the same.
