This had to be a joke.
I massage my neck as I look at the two men with me. Allerick and Jason both smiled my way as we waited for the horses.
“Could both of you stop smiling like that?” I cursed under my breath.
“My queen, don’t get mad, please,” Allerick said as he squeezed my arms softly. I looked at him; his emerald eyes looked down at mine.
With a sigh, I shook my head in defeat. I couldn’t believe these guys had convinced me to bring them along. I still felt this was a bad idea.
