He was watching as Rafe let Luci Mark him, saw him just bare his neck for her. The man and his beast had no idea just how much that was going to hurt. To him it had felt like hot lava being shot through his veins. Rafe thought it was just a normal Marking but it was not going to be.
Didn’t bother to warn him, teach him to turn things all slow at the crucial moment. A little payback was earned, he thought amusingly, as he saw the man fill with actual pain. He’d told her to bite deep, and she was. Not that she needed to be told, she had sunk those fangs of hers into Jack with a ferocity that he’d not expected.
