The minutes seemed like hours as her eyes locked on the second hand as it made its way around the clock once more. She had now seen at least a dozen loved ones walk out with their loved ones with only minor injuries-or at worst, a cast. But as she waited the impossible time it took before she would be updated on Baron's status, she couldn't shake the overbearing feeling of guilt that stuck to her heart and soul.
However, the doctor hadn't been the first one to acknowledge her, that had been a kind hand on her shoulder. As she turned around, she breathed a sigh of relief as she saw it to be Cameron. He looked to her with shock and then fear as he saw the blood on her clothes and what remained on her hands.
